Fancy Wheat Grinder

So, I mentioned before I used my awesome host benefits to get the wheat grinder I have been wanting.
I have been waiting to use up the last of my flour so I can fill up my canister fresh.

Unfortunately this means my new wheat grinder has been sitting on my counter looking pitiful and taking up valuable space!
See?

Moving it would help free up my counter, but it would still look pitiful. So, I decided it needed a cover!

Using some old scrap fabric, I made a simple slip cover for the box.

Drape the fabric over and pin the sides at the top and bottom...

Trim excess fabric so it's easier to manage...

You could mark it better, but I just used my pins as guides and sew a straight line at each corner/side.

I used double-fold bias tape to finish the bottom edge and give it some color.
Or, you could just leave a 1/2" or so past the bottom of the box and hem it.

And,...
Ta-dah!
Doesn't it look so much better now? And happier on top my cabinets, not cluttering up the counter!
Doesn't get much easier than that! Less than 20 minutes, start to finish.

Now, time to go bake some stuff and use up the last of my flour so I can grind some new and try this thing out!

Graduation & Wedding Season

My favorite graduation gift : Pink drawstring laundry bag ( I still use it when I travel)
Perfect for a girl going off to college!

My favorite wedding gift : A cooler full of food
Perfect for a couple just starting out!

Both things I hadn't gotten for myself, but turned out to be an amazing comfort on the road of life!

This summer give a gift that is well thought out!
THRIVE foods are good! Eat them now. Eat them 20 years from now. They are delicious!

Shelf Reliance offers several different gift baskets

Or you can make your own assortment.

Here are some examples of complimentary groups in the smaller pantry size cans. Nutrients to last a single person or a couple for a week or more depending on the selection. And really, who doesn't eat food?
If they are set on food, how about a 72-hour kit (on sale for $79.10) or auto emergency kit?

Give peace of mind!
